General Electric Steam Turbines
Heavy Transport was awarded a contract to hual 5 General Electric Steam Turbines from Houston, TX to City of Industry, CA at the Walnut Creek Power Plant. Because each turbine weighs 683,000lbs Heavy Transport had to use their Scheuerle Wide Combi trailer. The Wide Combi Trailer was in a 12 axle configuration, and was set up to run at 21 feet wide in order to make axle weights on all highways and states that the turbine traveled through.
