Bragg Crane Service was begun in 1946 by Jim Bragg with a loan from Union Bank and one Browning Crane in Long Beach, California. Five years later, Mr. Bragg had five cranes and the majority of his work consisted of oilfield work in Signal Hill. Since then, we have expanded to 14 locations in California, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and Texas.
The Bragg family has always been deeply involved with the company: All three of Jim Bragg’s children, George Bragg, Mary Ann Pool, and Steve Bragg, have worked for the company. Third generation family members Scott Bragg, Chris Bragg, and Suzanne Bragg-Coffin later joined the company. With the fourth generation of Braggs now bringing their skills to the company, our family tradition of providing superior customer service and industry expertise continues. For 72 years, our people-focused, safety-first attitude has made The Bragg Companies one of the most successful companies in the crane service, rigging, and heavy transport industries.
