Paramount Blvd Bridge
Using our Grove GMK7550 and Link Belt HC278 with roling outriggers, Bragg Crane service lifted and set 60 bridge girders used to rebuild the Paramount Blvd Bridge in Montebello, CA. The bridge became unsafe after a tanker caught on fire and came to rest underneath the bridge, engulfing it in flames. The length of the girders presented a challenge for our project managers because of their length and proximity to Edison powerlines. The boom tip could not be within 50 of the powerlines which drove the necessity for two cranes, keeping booms low and safe from electricity.
